Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about SwipeLearn.
General
A revision app that serves you bite-sized learning cards aligned to your GCSE exam board spec. Think TikTok, but every swipe teaches you something.
GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics — across AQA, Edexcel and OCR. More subjects coming soon.
UK Year 9–13 students (US Grade 8–12 equivalent by age) studying GCSE or A-Level. Year 9s use it to get a head start on the GCSE spec; Years 10–11 are in GCSE exams; Years 12–13 are doing A-Levels. Content is AQA, Edexcel and OCR specifications.
Every card is AI-generated, then cross-model audited for accuracy. Each one maps to a specific spec reference. Cards that don’t pass quality checks get rejected automatically.
Seneca is great but feels like a website from 2015. Quizlet relies on user-generated content that’s hit-or-miss. SwipeLearn is mobile-first, AI-personalised, and every card is exam board specific.
Learning
Yes — that’s the whole point of microlearning. Short, focused bursts are proven to improve retention. Plus, spaced repetition brings cards back before you forget them.
A science-backed technique that shows you information at increasing intervals. You review cards just before you’d forget them. It’s the same principle behind Anki.
Not yet — offline mode is on our roadmap. For now you’ll need a connection, but SwipeLearn is lightweight and works fine on mobile data.
Account & Billing
The free tier gives you 15 cards a day and 2 subjects. No credit card required. No sneaky upgrade screens mid-card.
Settings > Subscription > Cancel. Takes 10 seconds. You keep access until the end of your billing period.
You can sign up with an email address. We don’t collect unnecessary personal data and we’re fully compliant with UK data protection rules for under-18s.
Technical
Any modern phone, tablet or laptop. We’re a web app, with iOS and Android apps coming soon.
SwipeLearn runs in a web browser, so it should work on most school networks. If it’s blocked, try it on your phone’s data instead.
